Samenvatting
In this study, eight residential areas of various size and structure were considered. For each residential area, the types of buildings and of road network were analysed; accident data was collected for two years, including location of accident, type of road-users involved, time of day and weather conditions; a global analysis of the safety situation was carried out, relating, as much as possible, accidents and physical lay-out.
