Samenvatting
The main aim of this publication is to provide energy and transport statistics for the EU Member States in a user-friendly. Most of the data covers the period 1970-1999. This edition is the first to combine facts and figures from both the energy and transport sectors in a single volume. The addition of energy data follows from the merger of the Directorate-General for Transport with the Directorate-General for Energy. The pocket book is based on a range of sources, including Eurostat, international organisations, national statistics, studies and, where no data was avilable, estimates. (A)
