This is the final report of the COST Action 357. In four years this Action created numerous scientific contributions focusing on traffic safety of powered two-wheelers with special interest for helmets worn by their riders. The COST Ation 357 formed unique interdisciplinary collaborations among European experts in the field of traffic safety of powered twowheelers. The report gives an overview of the most important work produced in the framework of this Action, including references to more extensive peer-reviewed manuscripts and reports. Some topics studied within this Action are the first in the field. As a consequence several open questions remain. Nonetheless, the authors feel that this report is not only relevant to scientists, but also to policymakers as well as manufacturers and end-users.
