This book has six chapters of statistics (tables, graphs, maps) and comments followed by annexes including text about the history of European integration and the institutions of the European Union, a glossary, geographical nomenclature and classifications of economic activities and commoditions. The six chapters are: 1: the people; 2. the land and the environment; 3. national income and expenditure; 4. enterprises and activities in Europe; 5. the European Union; and 6. the candidate countries.
