Samenvatting
Giving a small reward for improving safety behaviour in traffic is still only applied to a small extent. It can be an alternative for other measures to influence the behaviour, as the punishment for unwanted behaviour. This report is an evaluation of a small scale reward action to stimulate the use of safety belts. The action was held in four cities in the province of Friesland in December 1988. The action has shown hardly any effect. Caused for the small effect are discussed and recommendations for a better approach are presented.
