In the framework of the BREV projects the Bergsestraat in the city of Wouw was redesigned and reconstructed into a 30 km /hour road. A before and after study is used to evaluate the reconstruction. Even if the average speed in the Bergsestraat is decreased, people perceive the speed still too fast. In general people are content on the less concentration of traffic, the decrease of traffic noise and traffic hindrance. However, there are still some negative aspects for pedestrians.
