This study evaluates the efficiency of a driving while intoxicated (dwi) prevention programme for use by motoring schools, which consists of a video tape, a series of slides, some textbooks and an introductory book. The objective of the programme is to: (a) increase knowledge about the risk of driving while under the influence of alcohol; (b) convince potential drivers that dwi is dangerous; and (c) decrease the number of dwi offences. The programme can be implemented by motoring schools as part of their theoretical sessions, thus educating a previously neglected target group, future car drivers, while most of them are aged between 18-24 years old. This report is an extended version, and presents final results of the whole research mentioned in irrd 822192.
