Samenvatting

The purpose of the. experiment was to measure the effect various levels of enforcement on speed limit noncompliance. The most direct measure of effectiveness is the percentage of cars traveling faster than 55 mph (percent exceeding 55) with the expectation that increased enforcement would reduce the percent of cars in noncompliance with the speed limit. In addition, the number of patrol citations was selected as an intermediate measure of patrol activity.
