Samenvatting

Development and results of vehicle crash tests of an energy-absorbing barrier or crash cushion constructed of lightweight vermiculite concrete are described. It is concluded that the barrier is an effective system for protecting motorists from head-on or side-angle impacts with rigid obstacles.
