Samenvatting

The large number of new urban transport systems can usefully be evaluated from an economic standpoint of capital and operating costs per unit traffic flow. A number of systems in a typical urban situation with a peak flow in either direction of 10.000 passengers per hour are considered. By using a number of cost equations, basic operating and capital costs have been developed for each type of system.
