Evaluation of the revised motorcycle learner permit scheme, July 1983 to December 1985. Summary report.

A revised system of training and testing novice motor-cyclists was introduced in Victoria in 1983. An evaluation of the scheme both in terms of total numbers of casualties and of accident rates is reported. It is concluded that the scheme resulted in a major and sustained reduction in novice motorcyclist casualties.
