Samenvatting

This study is an evaluation of a THOR dummy during low-speed rear impacts. Sled tests were conducted with a THOR dummy in a rigid seat. High-speed video was used to record head and neck motion during impact. Optical marker analysis was conducted to determine first thoracic vertebra, neck and head angles. Results from these tests were used to compare the performance of THOR with published data for human volunteers, a Hybrid III dummy and a BioRID P3 dummy.
