Examination of consistency in signalized intersection capacity charts of the Highway Capacity Manual.

Intersection capacity charts of the 1965 Highway Capacity Manual have been analyzed for consistency, giving major emphasis to actual versus expected differences in results when changes are made in parleying conditions and in width of approach for one-way and two-way operation. Comparisons are also made with methods for computing capacity as developed in Great Britain and Australia.
