Samenvatting

While less common than frontal crashes, side impact crashes are more lethal. Due to the proximity between the occupant and the impacting structures, near-side crashes are thought to result in more severe injuries than far-side impacts. In this study we will characterize and compare the mortality, injury severity and patterns of injury of occupants involved in near- and far-side impact crashes. (Author/publisher)
