Samenvatting
The "Magic Formula" tyre model can be used in all phases of a vehicle project, from the specifications of a new car to tuning the handling in the final stage of the development. The applications of the model at Volvo cover many different phases. Examples of these applications are provided, as are the test results produced. This illustrates the wide applicability of the model. The implementation of the model in different simulation programs is also discussed, as well as the creation of model parameters from the measurements. The influence of varying the model parameters on vehicle behaviour is also presented.
