Samenvatting
In conjunction with the construction works carried out to widen the motorway M3 around Copenhagen, the Danish Road Directorate, DRD, has planned a quite comprehensive use of traffic management systems in order to achieve better traffic safety and traffic flow quality during the period of widening. The systems are constructed with a view to being made permanent. The application of traffic management on the M3 is the largest investment so far by the DRD in traffic management systems. The paper describes the experiences with the traffic management systems after one year of operation. Forthe covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
