Samenvatting

The merits of a periscopic rear vision systems are compared with a conventional system in passenger vehicles. The periscopic system consists of a conventional side view mirror and a roof mounted perscopic rear vision mirror. Results show that driver time spent using the two rear vision systems was similar, but total time spent on the two mirror systems was significantly different for the different tasks.
