Samenvatting

The paper describes an extended TRANSMODEL application in an Integrated Urban Mobility Management and in a software package called TSP - Transport Scheduling and Planning. These applications are actually carried out by the University and the Transit Company (ACT) of Trieste. The conceptual data model named TRANSMODEL was developed during the ATT (Advanced Transport Telematics) European projects. Its primary goals are the integration of operational areas inside transit companies (like scheduling, rostering, personnel disposition, passenger information, AVM, etc.) and the increasing of interchange efficiency among various networks and transport modes. University and Transit Company in Trieste have defined a specific strategy to develop and disseminate TRANSMODEL in Urban Mobility systems and in the Public Transport Planning and Scheduling system. Nowadays, Trieste is one of the first and wider application examples of the TRANSMODEL logical concepts.
