Samenvatting

This book deals with the perception of images which are strictly stationary relative to the retina, the principles governing human eye movements, and the study of their role in the process of vision. The book is based on the results of the author's experimental investigations. It is intended for students and researchers in the fields of biophysics, physiology, medicine, psychology, and branches of technology such as television, motion pictures, and apparatus construction. Much attention is devoted to the description of methods for recording eye movements and methods of producing images stationary relative to the retina. These methods may be of interest to many scientific workers. (Author/publisher)
