FAA crashworthiness program for large and small airplanes. Paper presented at the National Business Aircraft Meeting, Wichita, Kansas, March 26-28, 1969.

This paper briefly outlines the nature of the current crash-worthiness requirements contained in the United States air-worthiness standards, with primary emphasis on those for fixed wing airplanes. The authority for and origin of such requirements is traced.
