A factbook of the mechanical properties of the components for single-unit and articulated heavy trucks.

A compilation of the mechanical properties of the components used in heavy trucks is given. The factbook contains sections describing and discussing geometric layout, mass distribution, tyres, suspensions, steering systems, brakes, frames, and hitches. The influences of component properties on manoeuvring performance are discussed.
