Samenvatting
Rigs for the investigation of the dynamics of energy absorbing devices have been constructed and are discussed. Plastic foams developed at RAE and a pneumatic liner show promise as a means of combining the functions of buffet and crash protection in one helmet and the lines of a specification for a buffet helmet are suggested.
