After about 20 years most urban bus drivers become unfit for service because of many reasons. One can solve this problem in different ways: classical prevention by ergonomic improvements; preventive measures by decreasing the working hours. The VAG (Verkehrs- Aktien- gesellschaft) in Nürnberg works with this method; mixing driving and working in the service station. The VAG is discussing this possibility.
