Samenvatting
On the hand of current data the benefit of using daytime running lights by the vehicles of the Austrian Railway company and the Austrian Post and Telegraph company can not be considered as a big factor in the reduction and /or prevention of accidents. The use of light colours as orange or light yellow for such cars attracts good attention. Measures for education, information motivation and control of the drivers is also necessary. Environmental policies can also have negative effect on the use of DLR.
