In a driving simulation experiment, 2 visibility conditions, ''clear'' and ''fog'' have been compared. Dependent variables selected for the experiment included the measures vehicle-speed, speed variability and lateral lane variation as a function of speed. In addition, an analysis of time histories of the dependant variables has been performed. Results show that, during fog, the steering reaction starts late in response to the input and shows a steep transient with a overshoot.
