Samenvatting
The most important passive safety measures which are aimed at reducing the consequences of accidents to vehicle occupants, pedestrians and cyclists are discussed. As regards vehicle engineering for occupant protection, special reference is made to the design of the vehicle cell, the structure of a passenger car, and occupant restraint systems. Other measures are aimed in particular at the protection of pedestrians and cyclists.
