Samenvatting
The design and development of fare calculation and vehicle communication hardware and software experimental Ride-Shared Vehicle Paratransit System (RSVP), is discussed. The RSVP computer-based fare calculation technique is compared to existing mechanical taximeters and zone fare structures. Descriptions of Control Centre hardware, Vehicle hardware, and RSVP operating procedures are presented.
