Samenvatting
Fat embolism and signs of intravascular coagulation were studied in a posttraumatic autopsy material comprising 325 patients who had die in hospital no earlier than one hour after injury. It is concluded that the fat observed in the capillaries of different organs must arise, at least in certain cases, from the site of trauma.
