Samenvatting

Evidence demonstrates that it is possible to effect a reduction in the incidence of injuries and fatalities to young children involved in motor car accidents. Children should not be carried in the front compartment of the motor cars unless they wear approved restraining devices. Education of the public in the benefits of child restraints and legislation for their compulsory use will reduce the road toll.
