A closed circuit television (CCTV) system is tested on the San Francisco bridge using four television cameras, which provide the opportunity to monitor traffic on two miles of roadway, and to detect and dispatch help to traffic accidents. The objective of the test was to evaluate the technical aspects of this CCTV and its effectiveness in speeding up the detection and removal of disabled vehicles.
