This paper demonstrates a result of field tests for the context awarenesspublic transit transfer information service (CPTIS) model according to the location based service with related to the transfer facilities and objects including bus stops, access points to train stations, vehicles, and other points of interest. The field test has been conducted under a national ITS project which develops test and evaluation methodologies for facility and information design in the test-bed center, an intermodal station of Korean Express Train (KTX). The results from the field test show that the proposed CPTIS system could be applicable to the personalized service on demand in nomadic devices for public transport users with respect to the location based services along the technologies and infrastructure in ubiquitous society.
