Bicycle and public transit supplement one another. The bicycle for the short distance, and bus and train for the long distance. If the bicycle would always be available as a means of transport after a journey by bus or train, an unique transit system will be created. In Holland all conditions are present to fulfil this scheme. However, one should be able to carry bicycles in train and bus.
