Samenvatting
This article gives the results of a home interview through which numbers and characteristics of bicycle trips in the rural area of Friesland were investigated. They are compared with the results of other studies, the latter however being in the urban sphere. A recent nationwide survey on bicycle use was also drawn into the comparison. The article does not refer to mopeds, because of the very small numbers of moped trips which were found in the Friesland area.
