Samenvatting
This report investigates the effects of the construction of a cycle track in the Loven-Besterd area in the Dutch city of Tilburg on livability and accessibility. Several components of livability and accessibility have been investigated such as parking, crossing, traffic operation and perception. It is found that the livability gets little benefit out of the construction of cycle tracks, although this was the objective. Especially the perception of the inhabitants and the shopkeepers is poor. It was found that the municipal policy was not carried out completely. However, it is possible to increase the livability without harming the municipal policy.
