Samenvatting
To stimulate the use of the bicycle in urban areas and during peak hours the Dutch government paid for the construction of two demonstration cycle track, one in The Hague and one in Tilburg. This gave also the good possibility to test in practice the measures of traffic engineering used and the layout elements especially designed for moped and cycle traffic. In this article the behaviour of cyclists, moped riders and car drivers on and in the vicinity of such cycle tracks is described and some conclusions are presented.
