Samenvatting
The bicycle has long been a popular form of transport in the Netherlands. After 1950 the moped also rose in popularity. From the road safety angle cyclists and moped-riders are vulnerable road-users. To improve the relative safety of cyclists and moped riders efforts are being made to keep them separate from automobiles. Examples of such efforts are presented and a number of major design standards is given.
