Despite the problem of traffic congestion, the growth of automobility will increase considerably. Estimations of the amount of growth are discussed. Possible solutions are dealt with: to limit the commuter traffic, raise the costs, better utilise the infrastructure, integrate the public transport. That the national government should support such solutions, is concluded.
