The problem of traffic congestion and queues in the Randstad are studied. Queues lead to loss of time, unnecessary costs, extra pollution and a less accessibility of important locations. In particular the latter has led to this study. The aim of the study is to formulate countermeasures, which can achieve the change from the car to the train during the peak hours in congestion corridors with a reasonable change on succes. The study has been carried out in the corridor between Rotterdam and Dordrecht.
