Samenvatting

In the twelve months since the "drink and drive" legislation came into force in October 1967, 1.152 fewer people were killed on the roads of Britain than in the preceding twelve months, a reduction of one death in seven. There were also 11.177 fewer people seriously injured, a reduction of one serious casualty in nine. These facts are indicated by the road accident figures issued today by the Ministry of Transport.
