Samenvatting
The purpose of the study was to investigate the circumstances of pedestrian accidents in signalize intersection in cities and to propose counter-measures. The study was made up of six parts. After an initial literature review and a statistical review of all pedestrian accidents in signalized intersections in cities, the further investigation was focused n pedestrians walking against the red signal in signalized crossings with a central traffic island. The investigation comprised an observation study, an accidents review, risk assessments and proposals of counter-measures. In Danish.
