Samenvatting
Based on the Noise Abatement Act the author calculated the effect of the inaccuracy of traffic data on the estimated noise levels. The Act prescribes how these calculations should be made in a very detailed way. The quality of the traffic input data, however, is so poor that the results of the calculations are either too optimistic or too pessimistic, which leads to unnecessary investments.
