Obtaining accurate and up to date land freight data in Australia is of concern. The Australian Transport Council proposed a national data framework. Despite some recent efforts to improve the provision of comprehensive and up to date transport data, the Bureau of Transport and Regional Economics (BTRE) noted ongoing land freight data deficiencies.
