Samenvatting
Calculation methods for determining the fresh air quantities to dilute the petrol- and Diesel-engine exhaust fumes to an acceptable concentration level are presented. Carbon monoxide or Diesel smoke is taken as representative for the passenger car or Diesel truck/bus exhaust respectively. The influence of the altitude, length and slope of the tunnel as well as the number, average velocity and weight of the passenger cars and Diesel trucks or buses can be evaluated.
