If sports fields are situated too close to public roads, the illumination can cause much hindrance for the road users. It is shown how the permissible light intensity of the lighting luminaires can be determined, provided that a certain decrease of visibility is still permissible. The physiological glare of some stadia are calculated. See also B 16220 fo.
