Samenvatting

The primary purpose of this study is to determine if driver gap acceptance behaviour changes as the time spent waiting for an acceptable gap increase. We propose three hypotheses dealing with this issue and present a sample of results pertaining to the first two hypotheses. Special attention is given to the methods used to collect the data used in the study and to define the key events involved in driver behaviour at unsignalized intersections.
