Samenvatting
Methods of multiple route choice and assignment treat the route choice in two separate stages: the definition of (relevant) routes and the evaluation of these routes. As this distinction has no behavioural aspects, but follows from the wish for speeding up computer programs, the decision rules in both stages have to be consistent because of being parts of the same route choice behaviour. This is however generally not so, which is illustrated.
