Samenvatting
In this article various classifications of sand and methods for the determination of the mixture of sand are treated. Special attention is paid to a new and rapid method for the determination of the sand equivalent and its significance in respect of the current methods of the current methods. Further a survey is given of the properties that determine the unableness of sand for road construction and for bituminous mixtures.
