Samenvatting
Equipment aspects of the Washington D.C. area traffic control system is described. It compares two integrated systems, one for general traffic control and the other for a bus priority system. The role played by hardware in an overall system evaluation is discussed and the engineering concepts used is explained. Equipment for the accumulation and display of traffic data and the evaluation thereof had been given consideration in the form of a network map, alphanumeric displays and sensor completement.
