Visual information is considered to be an important input- factor for participation in traffic, in particular for the driver of a motor vehicle. It was expected that there should be a relationship between the visual performance and the performance in traffic, and, therefor a relationship between visual performance and accident rate.Accident studies have shown however that such a relationship can hardly be mentioned.
