Samenvatting
The importance of location referencing for telematic applications and the benefits of harmonisation among navigation systems are described. A strictly geometrically-based solution is proposed and illustrated using the examples of coding/decoding a traffic jam and external destination definition. The requirements of the data format are defined. A representative structure in XML for mobile internet applications is given. Real world examples are given for Hannover-Hildesheim in Germany.
